The stainless steel wire rope must be connected with other load-bearing parts in order to transmit the load. The connection methods and the selected slings and riggings probably include the following categories.
1. Wedge sleeve fixed method. One end of the stainless steel wire rope bypasses the specially made wedge and uses the clamping effect of the wedge in the sleeve to fix the wire rope. The strength of the fixed part is about 75% – 85% of the strength of the wire rope itself.
2. Cone sleeve fixed method. After the tail end of the steel wire rope passes over the conical sleeve, the steel wire at the top of the head can be rolled into a small hook and poured into lead or zinc liquid for condensation. The strength of the fixed part is basically the same as that of the steel wire rope itself.
3. Wire rope clamp fixed method. The steel wire rope is sleeved on the heart-shaped ring sleeve and fixed with a refined steel wire rope clip. The bottom plate of the steel wire rope clamp should be buckled on the middle section of the steel wire rope, and the U-shaped bolt should be buckled on the tail end of the stainless steel wire rope. The number of steel wire rope clips shall not be less than 3.
4. Knitting method. According to the love map, after one end of the steel wire rope bypasses the ring sleeve, each strand is spliced into each working branch strand respectively, each strand is crossed 4-5 times, and then tied firmly with thin steel wire. The binding length is 20-25 times the diameter of the steel wire, and at the same time, it can not be less than 300mm. The strength of the fixed part is 75% – 90% of the steel wire rope itself.
5. Aluminum alloy profile tension method. After the end of the steel wire rope is disassembled, it is divided into six strands, and the reserved heads of each strand are separated. The reserved heads do not exceed the length of the aluminum sleeve, and the rope core is cut off. After bending 180 °, it is inserted into the main cable with a drill rod, and then the lead sleeve is inserted. It is ground into an oval shape on the air hammer, and the pressing is continued to inhibit the forming. This method has good production and processing performance, light weight and convenient installation. It is commonly used as a fixed stay cable for lifting equipment.
